Danny Ferry left the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this offseason after a five-year run as GM that included a trip to the Finals. He’s now hot on the trail of a new gig. Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Portland Trail Blazers are going to meet with Ferry to discuss the spot once filled with Kevin Pritchard until hours before the draft when he got fired

Running low on time today, i’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with some more news.

With the NBA Draft coming up this week, there appears to be a general consensus that John Wall will be the top pick. Being a top pick comes with certain expectations.

What are your opinions.

Every general manager would love to add an immediate contributor through the draft. But executives who are willing to be patient also employ the “draft-and-stash” approach, which, when used well, can be gold for an NBA franchise.

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 24 in New York, but the real action will take place in San Antonio at the Spurs free NBA Draft Party at High Velocity Sports Bar at the JW Marriott for all Spurs fans starting at 6 p.m.
