Portland Trail Blazers owner and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen unceremoniously dumped GM Rich Cho on Monday, and a source told the San Antonio Express News who will be picked to replace Cho.

The paper reports that one name at or near the top of the Blazers’ list is San Antonio Spurs vice president of basketball operations Danny Ferry.

While the 44-year-old Ferry was the GM of the Cleveland Cavaliers, he built a team around LeBron James(notes) that excelled, going 272-138 in his tenure and making it all the way to the NBA Finals. But would he want to go work for a guy who has fired two GMs in 10 months’ time?
